That's a big prob with PO. I clear trail year round and do get rashes in the winter sometimes.
I have tried to become familiar with the way the stock looks, but it is difficult in the winter. I sure fire way to know is to look at the oils on a broken twig or branch. The oils are dark purple, almost black. You actually can see little spots at different portions. Long sleeves,gloves and caution are the best. Don't touch with bare skin and wash your clothes thoroughly afterwards. I use a Tech-nu product on newly exposed skin. I think it helps. I hope this is some help....I won't comment on burning.
