A few years back we moved to a wooded area and I too found myself to be very allergic to poison ivy and poison oak. Nothing helped or relieved the burning, itching, swelling, and oozing blisters. My husband went on a hunt for me. (by this time my leg was so swollen i could barely walk.) He found "CALA GEL" made by Tecnu. It's a clear self drying gel.Unlike calamine lotion. What a god send! In one day the itching was completely gone and by day 2 it was beginning to heal! Cala Gel also works on insect bites, burns, and other things. I have found it at Walmart and walgreens drug stores. Since then we've had our land cleared by a 70ish year old life long landscaper. While he didn't really thank me for the gift of poison ivy from working in our yard, he did thank me for the Cala Gel. He too was amazed at the results. hope this helps.
