Yeah - getting hooked on identifying poison ivy plants (and searching for that elusive at least here poison oak plant) is a bit unusual...

Here's a tip recommended by William Epstein, professor of dermatology at the University of California and noted authority in this field. Most spray deodorants and antiperspirants contain organoclay and aluminum chlorohydrate which both have been found effective in neutralizing urushiol. Dr. Epstein recommends that you spray your arms, legs, clothes, etc. but not your face as the aluminum chlorahydrate can be irritating to the skin.

Interesting tidbit - apparently IvyBlock contains 5% quaternium-18 bentonite - an organoclay. Now I'm not saying an antiperspirant is better than IvyBlock. I have no experience with either - just some interesting stuff I read.
