Hi Helen

You should be fine. Poison Ivy is generally in North America, Central America, Bermuda, the Bahamas, Taiwan, Japan, and western and central China. Apparently it has been introduced / accidently spread into parts of England, Continental Europe, Australia and South Africa. I recently came across a person's website in the Netherlands showcasing plants around the home. And lo and behold there was Toxicodendron Rydbergii (western poison ivy) - is someone nuts or what? :-)

You will find that if you should come in contact with poison ivy there in Europe that most doctors won't know what to do or recognize the rash. There was an earlier thread on the board about this. It really is unlikely though that you'll come across any while there.

Thanks for the pointer about that broken link - it was there just a few weeks ago when I checked all links on this site. I'll see if I can track the site back down.
