That white paper test is one of those "sure fire tests" along with plant identification. So at this point it would seem that you are currently immune to the urushiol oil in poison ivy. If you are otherwise healthy, you may be lucky and no longer have reactions. I have read though that reactions can vary from time to time. Maybe that PI demon is hanging out there just waiting to get you :-).
You can brush against the plant and never get urushiol oil on you. Now that's provided that the leaves you contact are still intact. But I recall you mentioning a bugged out phone repairman who watched you rub the leaves on yourself. That should have been enough to damage the fragile leaves.

I'm looking forward to the pictures and certainly wish I was in your shoes. I need to knock on wood - I haven't had a rash yet this year but I just know my time is coming. 20 years worth of rashes aren't likely to stop now for me... And I can certainly see the positive side here as an invader deterent :-) |
