I got some really good advice from my Dr when I went to see her after the 5th day of itching... and spreading spots. Take a warm bath in Tide laundry soap. Not only does it wash all the oils off, it has a conditioning agent that works on more than your clothes, your skin will benefit from it too. Stay in the tub at least 20 minutes though so the spots will recieve the most benefit from the actual contact with the soap. I had a very persistant case, more than 3 weeks now, but the baths keep the itching under control and made most medicines unnecessary.
