I have had poison ivy rash break-outs for the past 3 months. The oil must be on materials in my home. I have washed all my clothes. I have also washed my WHOLE apartment with a combination of half rubbing alcohol and half water, cleaning walls, radios, cabinets, door knobs, light switches, etc. However, I am still breaking out with new rashes. The only thing I have not washed is my carpet. A) How should I wash the carpet? B) Was rubbing alcohol a good cleaner to use to remove the oil? Thank you.
