For what its worth, I use homeopathic remedies for lots of things and the one made from poison ivy (which is also used to TREAT poison ivy) is the same one given to ppl with chicken pox and also for treating cold sores. I have used it for cold sores with great success. I did have a terrible case of the pox as a kid and I react horribly to poison ivy, so I think there is more to it. As someone else said, though, no one is immune to poison ivy and if you wanna test it, rough up your skin with a wee bit of sand paper and rub some poison ivy into it.
