Hello everyone I can use some advice...
I was lucky enough to get poison ivy 2 weeks ago (sarcasm). I have no idea how I got it...there are PI plants in my school yard and I am assuming something or someone brushed up against my hand.
So now two weeks later the blisters are gone...the itching was minimal but that's gone as well. I noticed some brown areas of skin where the redness once was and now the "new" skin where the brown has peeled off is pink in color. I went to my skin doctor yesterday and she said that my skin has stained(brown is stained pink is not). It's just the way my skin healed. She gave me a Rx for a skin bleaching cream that I will use 1/day along with SPF 30 UVB/UVA blocker...I'm also using a loose bandage to cover it. I called the doctor today and she said it could take a month to a YEAR to 2 YEARS for the staining to go away! I was very upset. My question is has anyone experienced staining and if so how long did it last with treatment???? Keep in mind that the staining is from a small section of my wrist up to my hand where the pointer and thumb web are....PLEASE GIVE ME SOME FEEDBACK! :( |
