This all sounds hauntingly familiar. My first contact with PI was on Sat 11th June (although having just moved to NC from England had never even heard of PI). Several really small blisters came up over night on my arm and ankles, then nothing for over a week. Then over night I started itching and developed rashes and blisters all over the right side of my body. Finally identified it as PI and found the culprit in my yard. Now, over 2 weeks later, I have it all over my right arm, both legs, stomach and lower back. Caladryl, old fashioned pink calamine lotion and daiper rash cream (of all things) seem to be keeping the itching to a bearable level, but how much longer will this go on for? Despite a hatred of drugs I am seriously thinking about a doctor and these steroids everyone keeps mentioning. Oh...and never again will I do yard work in sneakers and shorts with no shirt in the hope of catching some rays whilst working. Arrrgghh!
