Some of the things they fail to tell you: You can get the rash up to 2 weeks after exposure. Not every contact with PI will give you a rash, some people are immune when they are young and develop a sensitivity later. Sometimes it's in reverse. I don't know how to avoid scratching, it's difficult at best in the daytime, but I seem to have no control over scratching in my sleep (gloves or mittens wouldn't last 5 minutes after I fell asleep). The government should help us find a solution to kill out the plants without damaging the environment. I don't know of any useful purpose they serve except to torment us. And yes, the rash will go away, but it sure can make you suffer for weeks or even months.
