Well, I ate poison Ivy as a bet in 7th grade, I did not actually swalow the leaf though, I never got Poison Ivy again after that, And I've walked threw tons of it. During Sophomore year in High school, My Biology Teacher told me that the one of the juices or something gets into a gland and builds up an immunity (just like getting a flew shot).

My parents are also friends with these people that Hike often, and they eat Posion Ivy every 12mo. or so to prevent themselves from getting it.
