We're in the landscape business, and I'm sure that if you hit it with enough Round-up, you'll kill it. You just spray it on the plant's leaves, and the plant takes it in down to the roots where it kills the plant and becomes neutralized on contact with the soil. It takes about a week to take effect and may require more than one application, preferably not before rain. the only problem is it'll likely kill anything it comes in contact with, but it's easier to kill everything and start fresh.
