Hi Kevin, yes it can be spread that way but only if you went to bed with the oil on your skin and since your outbreak you are still sleeping on the very same sheets as when you got exposed to urushiol. If you are taking oral prednisone it is a possibility for the rash to return anyhow. I have never had this problem but I am not a big fan of steroid medications because of the many side effects. I would think that if you were re-exposing yourself that the new rash would not skip areas where the old rash was. That skin is most vulnerable and logically easier to break out again. I would check your medication and see if this is a side effect from use or possibly an allergic reaction, or call your pharmacist for his opinion. Change your sheets just in case. [email protected]
