I have been using these pads.

I purchased them because I have some bad poison ivy on my forearm. I needed something to cover the area because I am forced to wear long sleeved shirts/sweatshirts which irritate the area.

I was curious if this type of bandage is wise to use, and if so how often I should leave it on, until I clean the area.

These pads do a very good job at keeping the area clean, and also stop me from doing any harm to it. I was just curious if it is bad that the "stuff" that comes out of the area would be bad to be trapped inside the bandage until I clean it again.
