Jack - I heard that using rubbing alcohol on tools is effective, so that is what i used on the bow saws I used that became contaminated. I used paper towels and poured rubbing alcohol on them, then wiped the tools down several times. No idea yet if it worked, because i just tried it this weekend. I do know the oil can be persistent for months otherwise, because my brother used to get it in the winter when he would break out his fishing tackle box which had been affected in the summer.
