| Hi. First time getting poison ivy, my mom said I have never gotten it before. We were pulling out vines which my mom thought were bittersweet (she knows plants really well). She is fine, I got it bad. They prescribed me Prednisone in pill form (14 pills, then 13, then 12, etc...) as well as Lidex ointment. Plus Claritin plus Benedryl OTC. It seems worse, not better (rash started on Monday, went to the dr yesterday AM). I am MISERABLE. I feel really hot like I have a fever, and it's all red and swollen and itchy and it hurts like a sunburn all over my face and both of my arms (interior, from my hands to almost my shoulders). I am going crazy. My dr is clueless, and is sending me now to a dermatologist. ANYONE know anything that anybody can do for me? I CAN"T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!! |
