I am going through something similar with my 8year old. We went camping in a Forrest, and on the way home I noticed a odd black spot on her arm. The best way I can describe it is, it looked like ink in her skin. It didn't bother her, but because we had been in a new place, and I had never seen anything like it, I took her to the Dr. They had no idea what it was. About a week later the spot turned into a scab that never bled, and just fell off. A rash started to develop around it. She was diagnosed with impentigo. We started to treat her for that, and about 3-4 days later it spread into a welt like rash. I took her back to the physician and they sent me to the ER because it looked so bad and they thought it was cellulitus. There they diagnosed her with Lyme Disease. The rash was similar to that of a bulls eye. They treated her with an antibiotic and that has helped her rash. Her labs came back showing negative to that. So I started looking it up myself online. Now I'm developing small patchy, itchy rashes on my lower back and thigh. It has been about 4-5 weeks since our camping trip. I'm just frusterated, and would like some answers.
