Kristy, I've had sever pi twice now, both times due to burning the leaves due to the fact that I didn't know what they looked like. (Now I do!) I ingested smoke from burning so it's breaking out in random areas all over my body and my eyes swelled up pretty good. The first time around I received two shots, which didn't much help, but the second time, I didn some research and found on this sight others that had a lot of success with hot showers. Well...I tried it and boy!!!!! What relief! For HOURS! Start out with it warm and little by little turn the cold water off until your body is used to the scalding water. Yes, I said scalding. If you jumped in water this hot without getting used to it you'd jump right back out. But once you get used to it...it's HEAVEN! You'll feel the histamine in your skin being released and after about 5-10 minutes, pat yourself down and enjoy! Something to keep in mind for the future!
