I have a dead tree that has poison ivy growing up the trunk. I need to remove the tree since it is near my house. I have sprayed the poison ivy and it is dying.
Question - how long do I have to wait after the ivy is dead before I can safely cut and remove the tree? Will the elements eventually remove the oil from the bark? I live in the northeast where we get rain / snow, etc.
2nd question - will I ever be able to use the wood as fire wood?
Thanks,
Jim
