One evening last week I spend some time in my garden and made homemade spaghetti sauce that cooked for about 4 hours until it was done. Later that evening, I developed about 4 little blisters on my hand and within 2 days the blisters developed into the worst case of poison ivy I've ever had. Is it safe to eat the spaghetti sauce I made or is it possible the oils from my skin made it into the sauce and weren't destroyed by the hours of boiling?
