Our dog didn't seem to have any problems. I have seen him walk in it and sniff very close to the plant... I don't know if he ate it. He may have but probably it wouldn't be as tasty as he would like. :-) I am not sure if a dogs immune system would attack the alergin as aggressively as a humans. It is possible but we never saw it with our dog in Virginia and the property was covered in poison ivy and he was always in it.

He did cause us humans problems however because he would carry the oil into the house on his fir so the odd breakout happened from time to time.
