We have lived in the same wooded area for seven years and have spent countless hours in the woods pulling buckthorn; we have never experienced or seen ANY poison ivy. Now suddenly we have many plants (and I have a rash!). Was it there before and we just got lucky or did pulling the buckthorn give the ivy a chance to take over? It wasn't until I broke out that we went back and looked for it and found it. Also, how do the plants spread, seeds from the flowers or do the roots spread? I can't seen to find any info on this. Thank you!!!
