I was helping to carry buckets of water from getting into my house during the recent flooding in Boulder, wearing rain boots that were filled with the water after only a few minutes. Well about 2 days later I started breaking out with little itchy dots on my legs where the boots were. I started using Technu and Calamine lotion right away, but a week later it has spread and is everywhere on my legs, feet, and now even a little on my hands. It seems way worse than any poison ivy i had growing up as a kid on the east coast and it is more scattered than the poison ivy rash i'm used to. Is this a sign it could be poison oak? Can the oils travel with flood waters?
