We live in Northern Virginia, and our house backs to the woods. We have a fenced yard, and this vine is growing on it and now baby plants seem to be growing all over the back yard. I believe it is poison ivy, but you've said the side leaves alternate -- but to me, the side leaves of this vine come right opposite to each other. The berries are whittish, and it does have hairy roots. It is huge. I'm planning on nuking it with round-up or something like that. You may use these pictures. Could you explain what alternating leaflets means? Maybe with a drawing?
