Question Asked: I've managed to pick up an Ivy rash recently, and I believe this is the culprit. Could you please verify?

Answer: Steve,

I'm with you. This look like poison ivy to me. These plants have all of the classic characteristics. Your pictures are great as we can even see those "hairy tendrils" that I refer to often. The identifiers include:

  • 3 leaflet leaves
  • woody vines
  • aerial roots (hairy tendrils)
  • egg-shaped leaves
  • middle leaf with longer stem
  • middle leaf pointed
  • alternating leaves

I especially like the last picture. How many times have we seen a vine peeking through boards?
