Question Asked: Would you be so kind as to tell me if the plant in the attached pictures is poison ivy. I took these pictures in my back garden.
Answer: Hi Vivienne -
Though we don't have more of a closeup of the stem, I'd say based on leaf and stem characterisitics that is red raspberry. This wild plant will gladly show up in garden areas, disturbed areas, etc. The identifying traits I noticed are the sharply toothed leaflets, the egg-shaped somewhat heart-shaped at the bottom leaflets, whitened new growth. |
