Question Asked: I believe this is poison ivy. My neighbor Chris told me it wasn't, so I removed most of the vine with no protection. That's what I get for listening to him when my gut said don't mess with it! 1.5 days later my neck and some on my arm was infected terribly! Required a doctors visit.

You've sent along 2 pictures for review. The first picture is virginia creeper. A vine which grows similar to poison ivy but definitely isn't. The second picture - that sure looks like poison ivy. It's not unusual to find both plants growing together. The poison ivy has 3 leaflets per leaf - the virginia creeper has 5 leaflets per leaf. That should help you when looking at these plants. |
